They are constructed of high impact plastic and comply with the ANSI Z41-1991 Class 30 Impact and Compression. This means that they are tested to withstand a 1 foot drop of a 30lb object. Toe caps of this type are not meant to serve as a permanent replacement of steel toed shoes or boots. Designed to fit over street shoes. Mens - approx. 4.25" wide. Womens - approx. 3.75" wide.
