ShockWave2™ Shock Absorbing Lanyard with d-ring for SRL attachment.
There are applications where the worker needs to have a lanyard and an SRL simultaneously attached to the back d-ring of the harness. Per OSHA regulation 1926.502 Section d – “snap hooks shall not be engaged to a d-ring to which another snap hook or other connector is attached”. This means that you can’t put both an SRL snap hook and a lanyard snap hook simultaneously into the back d-ring of the harness. However, with this d-ring extension incorporated to the Shockwave2 lanyard, the SRL can be connected to this extension while the lanyard remains attached to the back d-ring of the harness. Our ShockWave2™ shock absorbing lanyards are stretchable for complete freedom of movement, this twin-leg model allows you to keep one leg attached to the anchorage while the other leg is always ready to be hooked to the next anchorage. There is certain to be a model that will meet your fall arrest requirements from this innovative product line. The ShockWave2™ incorporates a unique inner core that immediately begins to extend and absorb energy during a fall, limiting arresting forces to no more than 900 lbs.
